Aston & Cote

Church of England

Primary School

Welcome

We hope that our school website will be a useful source of information for those of you who already have children at our school and for those who are thinking of joining us in the future.

We are a good school that is striving to be outstanding! We want to do our very best for the children in our care.

Happy children learn best and visitors always comment on what a happy place our school is. We aim to provide children with the highest standard of education and equip them with the skills they will need for the future as well as helping them to identify their strengths, to grow their talents, to develop spiritually and to support their moral understanding. We have a dedicated staff team who work hard to support and encourage all children to reach their potential and beyond.

As a Church of England school, we have a strong relationship with St. James’ Church and our Christian values of Love, Courage, Forgiveness, Honesty and Respect are at the heart of everything we do including our learning, our behaviour and our attitudes to others.  We aim to help children to understand their role as members of society and to appreciate and celebrate diversity in this country and the world.

Aston and Cote Church of England Primary School is a thriving village school with strong links to the local community. We are also a small school which enables us to maintain a family atmosphere where every child is important, understood and cared for. We find that children settle very quickly into our school, no matter which class they join, or whatever time of the year.

We welcome visits from prospective parents and children; please arrange a convenient time by contacting the school office on 01993 850435.

Mrs Melody Chadwick, Headteacher

Our Vision

As a Church of England School, our vision reflects the Christian foundation of the school:

“We embed our Christian values of Love, Courage and Respect in everything we do, enabling us to learn and grow our talents together as a community. We are committed to helping everyone flourish as unique individuals by developing a sense of wonder and curiosity in the world and our place in it.”

Underpinning this is our strapline which is “Aspiring to be the people God created us to be by growing the talents He gave us.”
