Pupil Voice

Here at Aston & Cote CE Primary School, we think it is incredibly important to involve children in making decisions that will make our school even better.

Two children from each class are elected to serve on the School Council which meets once each half term to discuss issues such as playtime rules, which charities we as a school should support and they even get to meet with the company that provides our school lunches to talk about new menu suggestions.

Our Year 6 House Captains are elected by the members of each house. They support the younger members of their houses at playtime and lead us in house competitions such as rounders and poetry.

The Year 6 Reading Ambassadors help to organise the school library including an “Author of the Month” display. They also organise events throughout the year to encourage everyone to read for pleasure.

Each year, four children are trained as Playground Pals. They organise games and activities for the younger children at lunchtime.

Our Digital Leaders are helping to run an after school Computing Club for the children in KS2. We also have STEM Ambassadors who organised an exciting STEM competition for everyone to take part in.
