In Holt Class, all staff strive to weave their teaching prowess into an extraordinary experience. We aim to immerse children in the joy of reading, as we embark on thrilling literary adventures which are linked with our captivating History and Geography topics.
In Holt class we treat every child like the unique individuals that they are, ensuring an engaging and meaningful educational journey for all. However, we also aim to promote the community aspect of our class, encouraging the children to look after each other, show kindness and work as a team.
We strive to support children in embodying our school values and ASTONishing Learner attributes throughout their time in Holt Class, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
In terms of academic development, we not only consolidate what we have learned in Key Stage One but also focus on enhancing our reading and writing skills required for Key Stage 2. Furthermore, we continue to expand our mathematical and scientific abilities, ensuring a well-rounded education.
We recognise the importance of supporting each child's personal development. Through kindness, encouragement, and patience, we will guide each child in building confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.
Every child brings their own set of skills and abilities to the classroom. We will celebrate their strengths and provide opportunities for them to discover and develop new talents, whether in reading, maths, art, science, P.E., music or other areas.

The children will also begin to understand more about food, farming and the importance of the river for Brimstone Farm as a means of transport prior to roads and cars.
