Anti-Bullying Week

Each year the whole school learns about bullying as part of National Anti-bullying Week.

Classes explore the many different types of bullying e.g. teasing, name calling, hiding possessions, using rude words towards another, cyber-bullying, isolating children on the playground on purpose, etc.  We discuss why bullies behave as they do and explore how bullies often operate quietly so that their behaviour isn’t uncovered.  Then we think about how to stamp out bullying by telling others.  The children discuss what to do if they are shy e.g. tell a friend/teacher/family member, etc.

"Pupils are unanimous that the school does not have bullying. They are confident that if ever such an issue should arise, their teachers would resolve it effectively." OFSTED 2018
