Collective Worship

Collective worship takes place every day and  a huge importance is placed upon this regular gathering where we reflect and pray together.

We have a weekly rolling programme of guests to lead our assemblies including Reverend Lloyd, Gavin Woan, Captain Jack , Richard Bloomfield and many others. These visitors usually focus on our Christian value of the month and often with a biblical emphasis. We also have had other speakers from charitable organisations who come to talk about the work they do and the impact it has.

We recently had the Bishop of Dorchester who came to lead a special assembly.

Olivia and Alice from Westerleigh Class had this to say:

The Bishop of Dorchester came in to talk about his job and what he wears during his work. We had lots of fun watching him and listening about his job.  His name was Colin Fletcher and he was extremely friendly. As our value of the month is FORGIVENESS, he wore his red outfit. He told us why and how he became
the Bishop of Dorchester. He has also had lunch with the Queen which must have been very special indeed. He started out as a vicar but then he was asked if he could be a bishop. We had a very exciting assembly with the Bishop of Dorchester.
